Despite an intermittent rain, the Reception and Awards Ceremony had perhaps the largest turnout yet.
The show includes 100 artworks from 70 of our members and everyone seemed pleased with the result of Preston's staging.

Edna Pierson Windes was asked by a man who recently purchased her painting Old Mill from an antique shop in Vermont if she could "repair" it. Although it wasn't really damaged, Edna says it was scary working on a watercolor she painted in 1979.

Rosa Farinas is the featured artist in Gallery Saratoga in December. The reception "Abstract and Collage" is December 10 from 1- 5.
Jane Ferguson's "Pink Vase" won first place in the mixed media section of the Annual FALC Fall Festival. This same painting also won a Sponsor Award in the SCVWS Annual Members Show. Two of her abstract paintings were used as the cover art on the Journal of the California Dental Hygienists Association.

Michael Rogan's "Group Therapy" won a first place in the Santa Clara Art Association member show in July - and second place in the 2011 SCVWS member show. In August he won a first in the watercolor division at the University Art Open. The SCVWS is using a new piece of his reproduced on posters and cards to promote the annual member show.
